Our Classes

At HopeSetters we encourage the students' families and the community to advance the development of the child by practicing lessons at home. We believe that education continues outside of the classroom.

Apple Class
Our most advanced class focuses on basic writing, reading, simple math and self-help skills. In order to use both hemispheres of the brain, the students also engage in art and technology activities. This includes storytelling, typing, puzzles and drawing by exploring with innovative teaching materials, such as sand and play-doh. Apple students are twelve and older.

Pear Class
The students who are auditory and tactile learners thrive in this classroom. Skills such as sorting, pegging, and weaving are essential to their development in education. They are also capable of following commands and performing every day tasks.
Pear Annex
Like Apple class, these students focus on basic writing, reading, simple math and self-help skills. In order to use both hemispheres of the brain, the students also engage in art and technology activities. This includes storytelling, typing, puzzles and drawing by exploring with innovative teaching materials, such as sand and play-doh. Pear Annex students are within the Pear class age group of twelve and under.

Banana Class
In our preschool setting, students under the age of eight learn basic behavior and house skills such as: requests, dressing, personal hygiene and potty training. Paired with these programmes are basic academics, which introduce these students to numerals, alphabets and verbal communication

Grape Class
In this unique classroom, students are split into two groups in order to receive individual attention with emphasis on fine motor skills. Certain students practice the alphabet and numerals in the sand or with other creative teaching materials. The other students learn through play, such as pegging and picking up objects with the help of a guide at all times.
